1 John 4:1-21Jesus Here and Now

John’s discernment for testing the spirit of a prophetic voice is specific to the ____________ of his readers, who were hearing many new things from the gnostic movement. John made specific mention of having touched, walked, and talked with Jesus along with many others. These men became the ___________ of the young church, and here John states that their word is the most trustworthy (1-6)

Once more in Chapter 4 John returns to the central theme of his letter: the mark of a relationship with the one true God is being a ___________ person, taking their cues and example from the _______________ love of Jesus Christ and becoming proof of His life and Spirit still being at work presently.
