This will go into effect in our 87th year of independence in the year 1863

The freedom of slaves is morally right and essential for a Union military victory

Washington D.C. and the military will do everything in its power to make sure that slaves maintain their freedom

All newly freed slaves will be welcomed into the US military in many different ways
