Algebra 1 - Ms Wesemann and Ms Johnson 2016 - 2017 Academic Year Let’s look forward to an adventure in Algebra 1 this school year. We will be talking about “coefficients, parabolas, variables, radicals,” & many more super nerdy math terms. :) General Description : (Required info) Mathematical concepts involving real numbers are mastered. Various types of equations are solved, graphed, and applied. Systems of linear equations, inequalities, and quadratic equations are emphasized. Exponential, rational, and radical expressions are simplified and evaluated. Classroom expectations. Respect ALL within classes/hallways/everywhere Come to the classroom with your materials (Pencil, Calculator, Chromebook that is charged, notebook, completed assignment when one is given) ASK QUESTIONS!! We can’t help you understand something if you don’t tell us if you are struggling! If you are shy in class or want 1 to 1 help feel free to visit B324 a half hour before or after school. Proper use of Electronic devices Going over notes/concept/lesson - don’t use Work time in class - can listen to music Done with work in class or teacher permission - use it responsibly Any behavior that deters from the learning environment of the classroom will be dealt with according to the handbook and school-wide policies. Last, but BIGGIE, Final exams within the math department are 20% of a student’s total grade for the semester in the class.
