WFCM is grateful for the Sully District Police who organized a very successful food drive to
sponsor 30 needy families with food for Christmas! To pair with the food, Westfields Business
Owners Association, representing businesses in the Westfields business park, donated generous
grocery store gift cards for the families to purchase meat or special items for their holiday meal.
Thank you to PFC Tara Gerhard, PFC Michelle Alexander, and Lt. Matt Owens who so
enthusiastically coordinated the police department and community involvement from conception
to completion. They collected food, packed the bags, and coordinated pick up or delivered the
holiday food to families, including delivering extra food to our Food Pantry.
One of our clients called yesterday to say thank you: "The basket is great! Thank you for all you've done for me and my son this year. We couldn't have made it without you." – WFCM client who received Thanksgiving food assistance through WFCM’s Food Distribution and either received a box from Knights of Columbus St. Andrew the Apostle Catholic Church or Antioch Baptist Church along with a turkey. We are so very grateful for our churches and community groups that support our Holiday Food Program!
We received a five minute "thank you" from one our clients that we all forwarded to each other's
phones. In the midst of all the hectic, stressful, busyness, this call reminded us of why we do
what we do:
"Hi there, wonderful people at WFCM! I received a food card from the Clifton Lions and I think
I just put two and two together because you offered extra help and I put myself on the list. I want
to say God Bless you and thank you. This food card will help me through Thanksgiving and
Christmas. I believe it's because of you that I got it. Thank you from the bottom of my heart so
much...for everything you done for me. I won't see you until after Christmas. Have a wonderful
Thanksgiving and Christmas. Again, I really appreciate all you do for me. God bless you." –

Thanksgiving and Christmas food assistance.
“Thank you so much for the delightful Christmas basket and gift card… For Christmas dessert, we made a baby Jesus birthday cake, which is a family tradition, and (everything we needed) was in the
basket! Blessings,” - Client served by Centreville United Methodist Church
