3D DESIGN

How do we convincingly visualise an environment

that doesn't - yet – exist in the actual world? This

is a huge challenge – though one, as landscape

architects, we regularly face and are now industry

leaders.

Our lead 3D Visualiser, Steve Woodhouse, is

responsible for creating these images for Liz Lake

Associates. His keen eye for design, experience

and imagination, along with powerful processing

and cutting edge software such as 3D Studio Max,

VRay and Photoshop, combine to create stunning

rendered images with a realistic, even photorealistic

quality.

At Liz Lake Associates, we pride ourselves on being

able to explain complex issues simply.

We use 3D visualisation and high quality computer

aided design (CAD) as well as the written word to

convey information, analysis, strategies and design

solutions concisely and clearly.

High-quality photography is an integral part of our

work and we can prepare plans, exhibition graphics

and technical illustrations for projects as needed.

Our graphic design experience covers many

different aspects including public documentation,

leaflets, flyers, illustrations and photomontage

in the computer programs AutoCAD, Artisan, 3D

(Sketch Up), Adobe Creative Suite and GIS. Although

computer programs are used for the majority of our

illustrative work, some plans and illustrations are

still hand drawn and this can bring a unique quality

to a presentation.
