�Signs are of 4mm corrugated polypropylene material and will hold up for several years outdoors. Multiple colors and sizes to choose. �Marker stakes are fabricated of durable 9 gauge galvanized steel. Stakes vary in length and will last several seasons. �We have many thermal & laser adhesive label sizes to compliment these sign sizes.

Out of the box and ready to go. The UL-247 desktop nursery tag and label printer is packaged to run with or without a computer. We can design formats, tailored to your specs, which are then downloaded to the printer for future recall with the attached keyboard for only $865.

Or, use the label design software and run the UL-247 directly from a computer for just $995. This full version software includes resident plant databases and is able to link directly to Excel spreadsheets for efficient data management. Graphics and barcodes, including QR codes, are easy to produce.

Often abbreviated to flexo, this is a method of printing most commonly used for packaging. A flexo print is achieved by creating a mirrored master of the required image as a 3D relief in a rubber or polymer material. A measured amount of ink is deposited upon the surface of the printing plate (or printing cylinder) using an anilox roll. The print surface then rotates, contacting the print material which transfers the ink.

Hot Stamping (H)Hot stamping is a dry printing method in which a heated die and foil are used to apply graphics to a surface.

Thermal printing is a system whereby heating of ribbon transfers print onto the surface of the print material.

Need a QR code or a MS Tag? We can help.QR Code is a matrix barcode (or two-dimensional code), readable by QR scanners, mobile phones with a camera, and smartphones.

The code consists of black modules arranged in a square pattern on white background. The information encoded can be text, URL or other data.

Codes can be customized to link to any page on your website.

MS Tag or Microsoft Tag is an implementation of HCCB using 4 colors in a 5 x 10 grid. Additionally, the code works in monochrome. The print size can be

varied to allow reasonable reading by a mobile cameraphone; for example, a Tag on a real estate sign might be printed large enough to be read from a car

driving by, whereas a Tag in a magazine could be smaller because the reader would likely be nearer.

A Microsoft Tag is essentially a machine readable web link, analogous to a URL shortening link: when read, the Tag application sends the HCCB data to a

Microsoft server, which then returns the publisher’s intended URL. The Tag reader then directs the user’s mobile browser to the appropriate website, not

unlike how CueCat operated. Because of this redirection, Microsoft is also able to provide Tag analytics to publishers.

TXPSX Thermal PrinterThe TXPSX models contain the features that make them the best-seller in the horticultural market. The rugged powder-coated industrial strength steel case is designed for harsh environments, yet still attractive for office or store settings. These printers easily handle material thickness up to 24 mil at speeds up to 10” per second. They are available with 5” (300 dpi) print heads with 10” tag width allowance. The TXPSX models come standard with USB, Parallel Port, Serial Port, Ribbon Save Mode and a FETHER head (floating edge type head revolution).

Ethernet connectivity is available as an option.

TECSX Thermal PrinterThe TECSX models contain the same features as the TXPSX models however they

handle up to 5” tag width. This unit is ideal for tags, labels and signs up to 5” wide.

Utilizing the End-To- End Slip-On® tags, various pot tags, signs, and pressure sensitive

labels makes this the most versatile printer for the money on the market. The TECSX

models come standard with USB, Parallel Port, Serial Port, Ribbon Save Mode, and a

FETHER head (floating edge type head revolution). Ethernet connectivity is also

CG408 Thermal Printer

The CG408 desktop printer is a great complement to our SX model line of

printers. The CG408 can print up to 4” wide at (203 dpi), up to 4 ips. This

printer is designed primarily for thinner gauge materials, such as pressure

sensitive adhesive labels, our TT End-to-End Slip-On® tags, and also our ZX

pot stakes. The CG408 offers a lower cost addition to help reduce changeover

time for customers using different types of media. In order to utilize the full

Injection Molded StakesT-Stakes are produced from 30 mil white polystyrene for easy insertion into most soil. They may be purchased blank or preprinted in one or two colors. Our fade resistant pens found on page 26 can be used also to write on these stakes.

Injection Molded Stakes are made of heavy-duty plastic from 55 mil to 70 mil thicknesses. These stakes are sturdy enough to be inserted into most mediums. Surfaces accept writing with fade resistant marking pens. (See pg. 26)

Pressure Sensitive Labels are available for most injection molded stakes. Please see pages 12 and 13 for appropriate labels.

TXPSX Thermal PrinterThe TXPSX models contain the features that make them the best-seller in the

horticultural market. The rugged powder-coated industrial strength steel case is

designed for harsh environments, yet still attractive for office or store settings.

Radio Frequency Identification or RFID as it’s most commonly known as, is a

technology using radio signals to communicate with a RFID enabled tag or

label, and by extension, the item to which the RFID tag or label is attached.

It is now commonly used to identify a wide variety of items in many

industries and applications, including those found across markets of

horticulture and agriculture.

RFID has an advantage over traditional barcode use. The differences

are as follows: barcodes require a line-of-sight reading (scanning) of a

printed barcode symbol. Whereas RFID technology does not require a

line-of-sight reading and can read or write to hundreds of RFID enabled

media identifiers at once - saving time, labor, and reduction in

counting errors.

Many SATO printers offer RFID tag, stake, and label encoding as an

option in both UHF (ultra high frequency) and HF (high frequency)

technology. Whatever your application and identifying needs may be, SATO
