This acknowledges your FAX request for temporary relief from MEL 31-00-1 to a11ow continued operation ofCL-600-2Al2, N529DM with the Flight Data Recorder (FDR) removed. We have reviewed your request and concur that it docs comply with the intent ofFARs 135.152 and 135.179.

This letter will serve as Trust Aviation's temporary authority to operate N529DM with the FDR inoperative while the official MEL revision is being processed and approved. This authority is only etlcctive while the aircraft is being operated in a 9 or less passenger scat configuration and maintained in accordancsf'rust Aviation's Approved Aircraft Inspection Program (AATP). This temporary autho~zation will expire when the official MEL revision is approved, or on October 31, 1999, whichever occurs first.

Flight Data Recorder (PIN 650-14040-004 SIN 0272) originally installed at F.S.760.0 by Arkansas Mod Center in accordance with STC SA5763SW on FAA form 337 dated 19 Nov 1984, then relocated to F.S.745.0 by K.C. Aviation Appleton WI FAA CRS # QK2Rll2L under field approved FAA form 337 dated 22 Feb 1991, has been removed and the FDR system has been deactivated. FDR circuit breakers have been pulled and collared. FDR System "Deactivated" placard was installed at the FDR Test Switch, Lamps for the "FDR INOP" PBA have been removed and the FDR connector has been stowed. FDR System provisioning is still installed and was not altered during Flight Data Recorder removal. Reference FAA form 337 dated 02 Sep 1999.
