Each team of students sets up a business for the day
Local business people act as mentors to each team
Students manufacture a product, buy supplies and sell theirproduct at a profit
Students produce a marketing campaign to try to win ordersfrom buyers
Each business must manage their finances and visit the bank

Programme for the dayTime Session
9am Students dropped off by parents/carers in Guildford at DROP-OFF point and students REGISTERED
9am/9.15am Walk to the FIRST company/organisation you are visiting with member of staff
9am/9.30am Arrive at FIRST company/organisation
11.30am Leave the FIRST company and walk to lunch venue with member of staff
11.45am Eat lunch
12.30pm Walk to the SECOND company you are visiting with member of staff
12.45pm Arrive at SECOND company
2.45pm Students REGISTERED and leave the SECOND company - either given permission to go home on your own OR walk to PICK-UP point with teacher
3 – 3.15pm parent picks up student at PICK-UP point

Summary of what to do for Business Day on FRIDAY
Check which sessions you will attend on your personal itinerary
Format: drop off (prompt please) -> visit 1st company -> lunch -> visit second company -> pickup/make own way home
Dress code: smart casual + raincoat if needed Packed lunch and perhaps a small amount of
money to buy juice/ice cream etc. if the opportunity arises
Make sure you have researched the businesses Please be courteous and thank the businesses
