TEFL Internships Internship Programmes

A TEFL internship is the perfect opportunity to get qualified in TEFL while gaining invaluable experience, all while engaging in the opportunity to travel. Many are paid, some are unpaid but the fundamental value in these programmes is how much you grow as a person, and professionally.

The skills gained in a TEFL internship ranges from the flexibility you exhibit by being able to assimilate into a new culture, to the skills you gain while teaching including communication, team work, training and presentation skills, organisation and planning.

The destination for your internship is entirely down to you and what you want to gain from it. Aspects to consider are; the length of the internship; the culture, cuisine and tourism opportunities; the climate; how far away from home you are and whether you’re able to travel with friends, if you want to.

Living up to a year (or even longer) abroad can be a life changing experience, and gaining employment through TEFL is the best and potentially most profitable way to do so.

Many of the positions that LoveTEFL recruit for are fully supported by an in-country team to ensure the transition is as smooth as possible from one home to your new one.

Being a TEFL teacher can change the lives of the children you teach so there are a few requirements:

You must be a native English speaker You must have a degree You must be TEFL qualified with at least 120 hours Experience in a training or teaching role

Furthermore, if you aren’t yet TEFL qualified with the LoveTEFL courses you can gain your qualification in 3 months or less. Given that the online course is completed in your own time you could be finished in 4 weeks.
