ElastotEc® chain tensioning systems are based on the use of highly compressible elastomer which has the property under hydrostatic pressure to act as a spring and damper.

this medium is extremely re-sistant to ageing and also retains its advantageous properties when exposed to temperature fluctuations.

standard elastomer chain tensi-oners have an integrated tension regulation cylinder. this enables the extremely compact installati-on of the tensioning system.

applications which require a flat characteristic curve for the spring between the starting and blocking force (fully retracted piston) are possible with elasto-mer tensioners.

Safety

ElastotEc® chain tensioning systems are accident-proof.

Explosive relaxation, which repeatedly occurs as the result of the improper handling of worn steel spring or nitrogen tensio-ning packages, do not occur due to the physical properties of the elastomer.

Elastomer chain tensioning sys-tems are completely unproble-matic with respect to their trans-port and storage.

the medium used is environ-mentally compatible and safe to handle.

Less wear with ELASTOTEC®

When performing measurements on chassis, we have repeatedly found that chains are often not correctly pretensioned, which has a negative effect on wear and tear and the service life of the drive components. These negative influ- ences often cause damage to ge-arboxes and drive components.
