About us METAСLAY JSC is a Russian manufacturer of innovative polymer compositions based on nanosilicates. Polymer compounds of the enterprise are used in various industries: pipe, cable, food, construction. Our products compete with foreign and domestic counterparts in the markets of silanol-crosslinkable and halogen-free compounds for sheathing and insulation of cable cores, materials for anticorrosion coating of metal products and insulation repair, composite pipes for housing and communal services, adhesives for food packaging and organomodifiers for polymers. Our partners are: ChTPZ PJSC, TMK PJSC, OMK JSC, Severstal PJSC, Irkutskabel JSC, Kirskabel JSC.

SK Resident METACLAY Research and Development subsidiary is a resident of the Skolkovo Innovation Center and is equipped with a set of laboratory machines and instruments. There are four specialized units. Their joint work provides an integrated approach on request: engineering of new polymeric materials, properties research of existing samples, production of pilot lots. The work quality is confirmed by the certificate of GOST ISO/ IEC 17025-2009.

METALEN PE-21 Monolayer anti-corrosion coating system for gas pipes

Application

Advantages

Description It is a polymer composite material with implementing the functional additives. METACLAY JSC supplies Russian pipe manufacturers with a monolayer anticorrosion coating based on Metalen PE-21 material. This technology is used for the first time in the world on industrial scale and replaces a three-layer coating system. Pipes with METACLAY anticorrosive coating are used for the construction of strategic facilities, including the «Power of Siberia». The Metalen PE-21 system has a KTM certificate for compliance with the requirements: DIN EN ISO 21809-1, klasse B:2014; DIN EN ISO 30670, klasse S, v:2012; DIN EN ISO RP-F106: Mai 2011.

Innovative monolayer coating system protects the steel pipes insulation from aggressive environmental influences.

Requires less application process steps: consists of only 2 components. No coating defects at the pipes end sections. Extends gas pipelines durability to 80 years. Provides resistance to UV radiation and temperatures in the range from + 60°С to - 60°С.

METALEN PE-1, METALEN APE-1 Three-layer polyethylene anti-corrosion pipes coating

Description METALEN PE-1 is black high-density polyethylene of bimodal type, manufactured from a mix of linear polyethylene and high-density polyethylene by reactive extrusion with nano-activation by organo-modified montmorillonite on modern equipment in the leading-edge process of METACLAY JSC. METALEN APE-1 is polyethylene manufactured from a mix of linear polyethylene and high-density polyethylene by reactive extrusion, containing grafted functional groups of maleic anhydride with nano-structuring by organo-modified montmorillonite on modern equipment in the leading-edge process of METACLAY JSC. The materials have high strength, heating stability, high cracking resistance and unique elasticity at low negative temperatures.

ATP TAPE Fiberglass unidirectional reinforced tape

Application In the gas industry, it serves as the starting material for “Kolchuga” coating production, which protects the pipes external anti-corrosion polymer coating from mechanical stress. In the cable industry, it can be used for power cables armor production against breakdowns and rapid wear when exposed to aggressive environments. In construction, it can be used for reinforcing layer production to strengthen structures.

Eliminates the problems of mechanical strees to products during construction, mounting, operation, repair and reconstruction.

Custom production of any width. Due to its flexibility, it can be wound in several layers, providing higher strength.

Description ATP TAPE is a composite material based on modified polyethylene, unidirectionally reinforced with glass roving, and a complex of additives that provides the material increased resistance to thermal oxidative degradation during processing and operation. Tape adhesive component is a modified polymer («Metalen APE-11» of METACLAY JSC production) that provides improved properties and increased physical and mechanical properties.

Application For pipelines insulation coating protection from mechanical stress during construction, reconstruction, repair and operation.

Advantages

Remains intact after a 5 kJ strike. Resistant to longitudinal cutting. Has a reliable adhesion to the insulation coating.

Description

“KOLCHUGA” FPC is applied to a steel pipe (diameter from 219 to 1420 mm) with an insulating coating. The coating consists of several layers of ATP TAPE interconnected by a polymer thermoplastic binder. ATP TAPE is wound at certain angles to the pipe axis by spiral winding. The finished coating eliminates the problem of mechanical stress to the pipelines insulation coating when laying by trenchless, trenching and above-ground laying methods. Exists in two options: usual «U» or reinforced «R». Pipes coated with “KOLCHUGA” FPC are supplied with a kit for welded joint protection.

Application For pipelines external anti-corrosion coating protection with a diameter of 225-1420 mm during laying and mounting in complex environments, including the presence of large rocky soil fractions (150 mm or more) during backfilling. Also to protect pipelines during the entire period of operation.

Advantages Useability of uncrushed soil with a fraction of more than 150 mm. Useability at the pipeline turns corners. Complete surface protection without gaps or interstice. Reinforced puncture resistance and tensile strength. Guaranteed frost resistance up to - 70°С and heat resistance up to + 85°С.

Description

UKM covering material is a construction made of a polymer sheet laminated on the front side with fiberglass material combined with a damping material substrate. It is fixed on the pipeline by couplers.

«LITOMET» SUPPORTS Polyolefin insulating pads

Application Protection of pipelines, reservoirs and tanks from the ground currents harmful exposure, cathodic current loss reduction, galvanic and crevice corrosion prevention, as well as protection of anticorrosion coatings from mechanical stress.

Advantages

Product heat resistance up to 110°С. Can be used in the ambient temperature range from +60°С to -60°С.

Description

Products are mounted on supports of various pipelines types in all climatic zones. Type of climatic modification: boreal and frigid climates placement category 1 in accordance with GOST 15150-69.

Application For applying a protective coating to various products, including products with complex configuration surfaces.

Description Coatmet AFM is a powder material based on polyethylene and a complex of modifying additives that improve the technological and operational properties of the product surface. The composition is intended to create an external and internal anti-corrosion protective coating for steel pipes, steel fittings of main pipelines (butt joints, bends, fittings, bypasses, adapters) used in the construction of gas and oil pipelines, tank containers, bunkers, tanks for various purposes, including the number of metal and concrete foundations of building structures in contact with drinking water and food products (fences, bridges, foundations, walls, pools), etc., during construction and operation of offshore structures and ships. Application methods: fluidization, electrostatic, gas-flame. Coatmet AFM has TNV, RoHS and Reach Certificates.

COATMET AFM PE-035-RAL Powder polyethylene coating

Application For applying coating on various products, such as: welded gratings for racks, fences, cold rooms, valves and tees for pipelines, fence supports and cable trays, as well as small-sized electronic products to create an insulating layer.

Advantages Suitable for dying of products operating in severe climatic conditions (exposure to sea water,

sun, sand, sudden changes in temperature). Possesses record frost resistance up to -60˚С. The surface is easy to clean and does not retain dirt, as it is poorly wetted by water.

Description

Coutmet AFM PE-035-RAL is a powder based on a thermoplastic polymer with grafted polar groups. This material is dyed by immersion in a fluidized bed - one of the innovative coating applying methods. This is an environmentally friendly material that does not contain and does not emit harmful components: phenols, isocyanates, heavy metals and other components hazardous to health. It does not contain solvents, as well as lead, cadmium, mercury and chromium (IV) as ingredients, therefore it is not classified as a dangerous cargo for land, sea and air transport. The material has permission to contact with food and drinking water. Creates soft tactile sensations. It has high mechanical, electrical insulation and chemical parameters.

METALEN МS-1, METALEN МS-2 Hot-melt fillers for pipe coating repair

Application For repair of factory polyethylene coating. Applied by melting using a propane burner, filling the structure of the defect in the damaged area and providing the protective properties restoration.

Advantages Excellent compatibility with factory coating. The highest levels of adhesion and strength combination. Easy to apply due to high fluidity. Each rod has internal and external threads, which allows to build up the system during operation and use the material without residue.

Description

Hot melt fillers of METACLAY JSC consist of a polyolefins mixture, a complex of adhesive additives and grafted polymers. Products contain a complex of stabilizers that provide high thermal stability during use, as well as high resistance to aggressive environmental factors and oxidative degradation.

PLUG BIO For shipment and storage of pipes

Application For pipes, fittings and valves of various diameters: 530-1420 mm for trunk pipelines and 67-426 mm for site facilities pipelines.

Advantages

In consequence of biomaterial, the product decomposes in up to 10 years. No disposal. Reduces the burden on nature, contributing to the conservation of the environment.

Description Pipe plugs made of ordinary polymeric material decompose in nature up to 100 years. METACLAY found a solution to this problem by developing biodegradable plastic and launching the production of BIO plugs to protect pipes, fittings and valves from the penetration of dirt, moisture and mechanical stress to the chamfer. Under the exposure of UV radiation and environmental factors, the BIO plug material is destroyed at the molecular level and turns into powder. Plugs decompose in the soil under the environmental factors exposure without harming the ecosystem and do not require disposal. The decomposition period is up to 10 years and can be controlled.

Description METALEN К 0-11 Polyolefin silane-crosslinkable composition is a black colored silanecrosslinkable base, supplied in combination with a crosslinking catalyst 0-51. METALEN К 0-12 Polyolefin silanol-crosslinkable composition is a nonpainted polyethylene chemically modified with silane. METALEN К-21/31 EPR Allows to optimize cable production, provide them with the best properties, as well as expand the product range of previously not manufactured cables.

Halogen-free compounds are flame-resistant polymer compositions containing halogen-free flame retardants in their structure. Used in the manufacture of insulation, sheath and filler type ng-HF and ng-FRHF.

METAPEKS PCPE-01 Peroxide crosslinkable composition based on LDPE

Application For insulation of power cables that meet the requirements of GOST R 55025-2012 “Power cables with plastic insulation for a rated voltage of 6 to 35 kV inclusive”.

Advantages Treeing resistance in wet conditions(WTR XLPE). Properties preservation during prolonged heat and wet aging. Resistance to uncontrolled crosslinking during processing. Optimum insulation crosslinking speed.

Description METAPEKS PCPE-01 has a unique system of stabilizers and peroxides that preserve minimal binder of the material during processing. The developed technology uniqueness lies in the direct mixing of peroxide in the polymer melt at the compounding stage. METAPEKS PCPE-01 provides: - greater stability of storage properties; - excellent distribution of peroxide over the compound volume; and not on the surface of the granules as if impregnated; - a significant reduction in the product cost through the domestic raw materials use; - good electrical characteristics.

METALEN SKP HDPE-based carbon black concentrate

Application Designed for products dyeing and light stabilization of based on polyolefins obtained by extrusion: pipes, hoses, sheets, tapes, including those having direct contact with food.

Advantages Provides resistance to UV at a low percentage of input into the polymer base, from 0.5% to 5%. Particularly suitable for dyeing plastic films, sheets and injection molded products that require

perfectly uniform dispersion of carbon black.

Description METALEN SKP polymer-based black superconcentrates include from 50% to 30% black pigment in the form of high-quality soot, which is evenly distributed throughout the volume. The pigment provides obtaining the specified physical and mechanical characteristics of the finished product. For injection molding and blowing, it is recommended to add METALEN SKP 1050 of 1 to 3% of the volume, depending on the required opacity. It is also possible to add in large quantities for films.

METALEN F-1018 Polyolefin-based functional additive

Application It is used as a functional component of adhesive compositions for pipe insulation; adhesive agent for wood-polymer composites; wetting and dispersing agent for dyes and pigments.

Advantages Provides filler dispersion in the polymer matrix. Increases resistance to shock loads. Provides holistic strength in mixtures with wood, mica, fiberglass, dye. Increases polymer composite adhesion to metals.

Description Functional agent in polymer compositions providing adhesion to various surfaces and materials. METALEN F-1018 is based on an ethylene-octene copolymer with grafted anhydride and carboxy functional groups, allowing more efficient combination of filler and polymer matrix in order to improve their physical, mechanical and operational properties.
