OUT OF BOUNDS (Rule 27) a) Beyond any wall, fence or hedge bounding the course. b) Beyond any line of white stakes bounding the course.c) On or beyond the road behind the 18th green.2. OBSTRUCTIONS (Rule 24) a) Stones in bunkers are movable obstructions, (24-1). b) All fixed sprinkler heads and manhole covers are immovable
obstructions and relief from interference by them may be obtained under rule 24-2. in addition, if such an obstruction on or within two club-lengths of the putting green of the hole being played intervenes on the line of play between the ball and the hole the player may obtain relief without penalty as follows:
if the ball lies off the putting green but not in a hazard and is within two club-lengths of the intervening obstruction it may be lifted, cleaned and dropped at the nearest point to where the ball lay which:-
i) is not nearer the hole, ii) avoids such intervention and iii) is not in a hazard or on a putting green.c) Any ball coming to rest in the flower bed to the left of the 18th green
or the right of the first tee will be entitled to relief nearest to where the ball lies, which is not nearer the hole and at which, if the ball were so positioned, no interference would exist.
3. PROTECTION OF YOUNG TREES Protection of young trees identified by being staked. if such a tree
interferes with a player’s stance or the area of intended swing, the ball must be lifted, without penalty, and dropped in accordance with the procedure prescribed in rule 24-2b(i).
4. WATER HAZARDS (Rule 26) The lake and all ditches are either water hazards or lateral water
hazards. The margins of water hazards are defined by yellow stakes and lateral water hazards by red stakes.
5. SHED BY 18th The stone shed on the left of the 18th is an integral part of the course.
6. DRIVING RANGE A fence runs from the left corner of the driving range to the road. A ball
which crosses the line of these stakes must be abandoned and another ball played, without penalty, one club-length not nearer the hole, from the point at which it crosses the line of stakes. A ball which crosses the road but does not cross the line of stakes must be played as it lies.
7. PRACTICE Practice (except as permitted by the rules of golf), is prohibited on the
course at any time.8. PATHWAYS/ ROADWAYS All pathways/roadways on the course are immovable obstructions and
relief from interference by them may be obtained under rule 24-2b.9. DRIVEWAY When playing holes 8 and 9, please do not play a shot if a vehicle is or
could come into range. INDEMNITY All golfers use the facilities of Marriott St Pierre Hotel & Country Club
entirely at their own risk. All golfers are cautioned to take extra care on the golf course when
negotiating foot bridges, uneven ground and water hazards. PLEASE CHECK NOTICE BOARD FOR ALL LOCAL RULES
