New way to control your phone – voice [Artificial Intelligence]

Does not dictate to the phone alone – you can ask the iPhone to do different things

It works on what you say – Is not limited to specific words

Use your voice to send messages, schedule meetings, place phone calls, and more

Allows you to: Send messages, Check the weather, Call someone, Schedule a meeting and more

Same features as any other phone

Voice distinguishes it from every other mobile phone product

No need for exact commands with the same tone of voice

Does not manage voice recognition itself — a module from Nuance does that, and sends your words along to Siri once it’s worked out what you’re trying to say

Speak to your iPhone as you would speak with another person

There are a few Siri alternatives

Will not be quite as smooth or fast running as Apple’s new Siri Application

They are more than capable of sending an email or text while driving, or looking up directions while on the move

Google Search – Free: Only lets you search using your voice; Uses your location data to make sure that the results it returns are appropriate

Security problem: When the phone is locked, anyone can access Siri

Maps: Supports the traffic & maps only in the USA; Only follows the command in English to navigate map features

Cannot work offline; Need to be connected to operate Siri
