I don’t know how to share this info with teachers in my building. We don’t have time together.
We need info about teaching congruence and similarity through transformations.
Need a space to share lesson plans, assessments, activities and resources
We need more websites to get resources.

oDoing the FAL with my students
oUsing the Danielson Framework and CHETL
oBetween conversing with other teachers and going over the framework, I have acquired some new ideas and strategies for myself in the classroom and to share with others.
![Page 25: March 26, 2013 Kentucky Department of Education Leadership Networks 1](https://reader035.vdocuments.us/reader035/viewer/2022070409/56649e865503460f94b88e66/html5/thumbnails/25.jpg)
o How to continue to working on the types of questions to be asking in class.
o I have learned to look for evidence of student learning.
o Hunger Games FAL like task was GREAT!
o Definitely have a strategy now and plan in place for the refinement of aligning assessments to standards. Also, great dialog on FAL analysis/implementation.
o Analyzing student work from the FAL with my colleagues.
![Page 26: March 26, 2013 Kentucky Department of Education Leadership Networks 1](https://reader035.vdocuments.us/reader035/viewer/2022070409/56649e865503460f94b88e66/html5/thumbnails/26.jpg)
Anticipating student misconceptions and really focusing on engineering classroom discussions are strategies I will use to improve planning and instruction.
The formative assessment lessons are great and having that many activities and tasks ready for use is wonderful. Getting my teachers to implement these will require a little work because they do take time, but I think they will be very helpful in getting students to grow.
The transformations activities from the website.
Learning more about CIITS in breakout.
![Page 27: March 26, 2013 Kentucky Department of Education Leadership Networks 1](https://reader035.vdocuments.us/reader035/viewer/2022070409/56649e865503460f94b88e66/html5/thumbnails/27.jpg)
Listening to other teachers describe the results of their Formative Assessment Lessons was helpful.
I enjoyed seeing the growth from pre to post assessment on FAL.
In working through my own FALs and discussing with my peers I can change what I did wrong for next time.
It is okay to fail but you must have perseverance. Compliance is not engagement.
Growth Mind Set information was really interesting.
![Page 28: March 26, 2013 Kentucky Department of Education Leadership Networks 1](https://reader035.vdocuments.us/reader035/viewer/2022070409/56649e865503460f94b88e66/html5/thumbnails/28.jpg)
Every time we meet and discuss with colleagues I gain a better understanding of the standards. Being able to learn new ways to implement these standards is very valuable.
The videos that were shared were inspirational and serve as a reminder of what we, as teachers, must be willing to do if we truly have the best interest of our students at heart!
The discussion and videos shared today.
![Page 29: March 26, 2013 Kentucky Department of Education Leadership Networks 1](https://reader035.vdocuments.us/reader035/viewer/2022070409/56649e865503460f94b88e66/html5/thumbnails/29.jpg)
Every time we look at new resources and have discussion, I feel that I become a better teacher. Just have to maintain the focus between meetings and not slip into old ways!
We extended Standards based grading practices--and even just toxic grading practices that we find ourselves doing and what we can do to improve on that. Grading needs to have more of a meaning.
![Page 30: March 26, 2013 Kentucky Department of Education Leadership Networks 1](https://reader035.vdocuments.us/reader035/viewer/2022070409/56649e865503460f94b88e66/html5/thumbnails/30.jpg)
I now have a new understanding of the importance of "failure". As educators and instructional leaders it is vital that we share with our teachers and students "how" learning takes place in each of our lives. Many times we learn through trying and failing and trying again. I loved the quote...."If you are not failing you are not trying hard enough."
![Page 31: March 26, 2013 Kentucky Department of Education Leadership Networks 1](https://reader035.vdocuments.us/reader035/viewer/2022070409/56649e865503460f94b88e66/html5/thumbnails/31.jpg)
I think my favorite part was the three part Derek Sivers video, Why You Need to Fail. Watching the video in three parts and incorporating the TPGES 2b and 3c was extremely helpful.
