Hyde Park and Kensintong Gardens• An oasis of tranquility in central

London, Hyde Park, together with Kensington Gardens to the west, is the largest of the three royal parks.Thedarken paths, the solitude, and the peaceful breezes blowing through the leafless branches. London is such an expensive destination so it's important to find some free things to add to your agenda.These parks are a fantastic place to walk, people watch, and enjoy the fresh air. You can rent a row boat and watch the sunset on the small lake.These parks are as popular with the locals as they are with tourist and that should tell you something. A must see on your visit to London! Getting up early and taking a stroll in Hyde Park, watching the people, was truly a wonderful and refreshing experience.

Buckingham Palace is the official London residence and principal workplace of the British monarch. Located in the City of Westminster, the palace is a setting for state occasions and royal hospitality. It has been a focus for the British people at times of national rejoicing and crisis.

The Queen’s Galleryis a public art gallery located at Buckingham Palace, home of the British monarch, in London. It exhibits works of art from the Royal Collection (i.e., those works owned by the Queen "in trust for the nation" rather than privately) on a rotating basis; about 450 works are on display at any one time.The gallery is located atthe west front of the Palace, on the site of achapel bombed duringthe Second World War,and first opened in 1962.

Trafalgar Squareis a public space and tourist attraction in central London, built around the area formerly known as Charing Cross. It is in the borough of the City of Westminster. At its centre is Nelson's

Column, which is guarded by four lion statues at its base. There are a number of statues and sculptures in the square, with one

plinth displaying changing pieces of contemporary art. The square is also used for political demonstrations and community

gatherings, such as the celebration of New Year's Eve.

Piccadilly Circus

Piccadilly Circus is a road junction and public space of London's West End in the City of Westminster, built in 1819 to connect Regent Street with the major shopping street of Piccadilly. The Circus is particularly known for its video display and neon signs mounted on the corner building on the northern side, as well as the Shaftesbury memorial fountain and statue of an archer popularly known as Eros (sometimes called The Angel of Christian Charity, but intended to be Anteros).
