Privileges and Immunities
bull The Agreement on Privileges and Immunities of IRENA sets out the privileges
and immunities to be enjoyed by the Agency its experts and officials and
representatives of Members at IRENA meetings
bull It includes immunity from legal process for words spoken or written or acts
done in the performance of official functions inviolability of the Agencyrsquos
premises exemptions from certain taxes and duties and others
bull The IRENA Statute does not provide for privileges and immunities Members
are thus encouraged to sign the Agreement to ensure privileges and
immunities can be extended to the Agency and Membersrsquo representatives

done in the performance of official functions inviolability of the Agencyrsquos
premises exemptions from certain taxes and duties and others
bull The IRENA Statute does not provide for privileges and immunities Members
are thus encouraged to sign the Agreement to ensure privileges and
immunities can be extended to the Agency and Membersrsquo representatives
