We will discuss in this assignment (L3) The problem solving strategies which are :
• Problem Definition.• Generate Solutions.• Decide .• Implement. • Evaluation.
Context
If any one want to solve any problem the first step from the heuristic it is Define the Problem
As we know the definition of any problem depends on:
• Gathering information
• Defining the real problem
• Evaluating of the problem
These steps happened by using some techniques (present state/desired state, dunker diagram and statement/re-statement). In the end we will have achieved an important side in doing the project.

• The first steps that must to do when you want to define the problem.
• We asked some students if he has any ideas about manufacturing ?
• These is the ratio between who know some thing and who know nothing

We asked a Doctor “why the students have no or less ideas about manufacturing”
1. The students don’t want to learn and search about manufacturing.
2. Environment.
3. No television programs talk about manufacture.
4. No encourage.
5. Education .

Each student should have enough knowledge about manufacturing.
These two statements now matched and the distinction between them is sharp.

Discussion
In this assignment we learned the real problem of why student do not know enough about manufacturing .We know that the student do not guide to learn the manufacturing or do not have motivation to learn .We think this define the problem using problem definition techniques will help us to maintain time and resources, then we can generate solutions to the problem which is the second heuristic technique.

• After we defined the problem in (L3-A) we will go to next step. In this part (L3-B) (Idea generation). Firstly every member write 20 artifacts then we used Boggle Method to delete the same idea, after that we multi voting to choose between 6-10 artifacts. Then we repeat same steps for the must and wants. Also we used other techniques which are Osborn's checklist and Random Stimulation. We use Osborn's checklist for the musts and Random Stimulation for the wants. Finally we enjoy with this project and now we have some ideas about the next step from our project.
• What are the Possible Artifacts?• In L3-A we define the problem and now in L3-B
we start to learn about manufacturing .• To generate idea about Possible Artifacts we did
some steps:• First step every member used brainstorming
technique to generate 20 artifacts.• Second step we delete the same ideas by
Boggle method.• Third step we choose 10 ideas by using Multi-
voting.
• Third step: Multi-voting.• After we eliminate the duplicate artifacts
by Boggle Method we voting to choose 10 artifacts from 57.
• Also, we calculate the artifact and divide by 3 to determine the member of voting to each member.
• 57/3=19• The table

Discussion
• After hard meeting, we reviewed the (L3-B) project from many views. The context, brainstorming, Boggle method multi-volt, Osborn's Checklist and Random stimulation have done it in the correct way. So we learn a lot of thing from this assignment which like how can we use all technique in the top. We believe that after we generate a list of artefacts we can use KTDA in the next step in order to select artefact then solve the problem.
• That's mean we ready now to go to the third block of the HEURISTIC "L-3C" which is taking about "Decide the Course of Action".

Finally
• the selected artifact is the Electric DC Motor based on the KTDA and on the Adverse Consequence analysis and this project will cost us approximately 660 SR.
Discussion
• At the end of this assignment which was on the third tasks – Artifacts Selection- we selected our artifact for our project is “Electric DC Motor” because it got the highest score on KTDA table but it was not get the least score in the Adverse Consequence table this is not real problem because if we have same this situation we can choose what we want if we remember the different between the score was too small. Now we feel that we can apply the KTDA in any decision making case on our life .

• Remove the electric cover (part1).• Remove the circle cover ,then remove the
cylinder cover, take care it has magnetic part here you need more force to remove it.
• Now you should Take care to get the generator out you must do some steps :firstly, take the carbon parts out. Then the springs. Now you can remove the heart easy.
Discussion
After we did this work we now the disassembly plane , we now the artifact parts, we study all parts, also we know how can we assembly the parts. That’s what we will do in the next work (L3-E). we can use the KTSA table and Gantt chart .

Initial assembly plan
• Put the three springs in its places. in the base).• Push them by the carbon parts. • Insert the heart (Generator) on the hole which in the
base. The generator will be between the carbon parts. The big side will be up the carbon parts and the other will be in other side.
• Put the generator cover up the generator and fix it by the two nails and nuts.
• Put the circular cover up the plastic gear and fix it.• Finally, put the plastic cover on its place up the
electrical area.

Assembly test
• We take our artifact with the final plan and give it to Mohammed’s friend he takes 20 minutes he said “ the plan clear but the artifact need more careful when you want to assemble it”

• The corrosion of metal specially the iron. This impact happen in special situation where located Oxygen and Humidity
Social Impact
• The old man can use it easily.• The ill and sick use it easily.• Save time when you repair the tire quickly.• If women will be a driver she can use it easily
Cultural Impacts
• There is no cultural impact for our project.
Economic Impact
• If the car companies take our project and made it in the new cars there will be increase the car cost may be it not more put there is

Discussion
• In this assignment we learned how to assemble plan for our artifact (Dynamo). Also we deal with unexpected problem by using K.T.PPA table, so we change our plan of assembling to deal with the assembly after considering the potential problem. Then we test our plan. After that we study the negative and positive impact of environmental, society, economic and cultural of our bicycle.
