The S.W.A.T. team also uses it from seeing in the smoke

How it works?

When you breathe it activates the charcoal filter. Then through a charcoal dust filter. Then in to your lungs. But when the charcoal becomes saturates you have to replace it.

Changes over the years

Once the mask was container to a container filled with air but that was to heavy. Then with a mask with no eye protection for different uses. The new gas masks are so much lighter now.
