These are elastic! They get bigger and smaller…

Vessels getting bigger = dilating

Vessels getting smaller = constricting

Activity:Blood vessels getting bigger is called dilating. Blood vessels getting smaller is called constricting.

Your blood vessels help you out when you are hot and when you are cold!

This loop goes from your heart to your lungs and back to your heart again

› Systemic Loop: The second loop

goes from your heart to some place in the body (muscle, eyeball, big toe…) and back to your heart again
