The Second Conditional expresses an unreal situation and its probably result. The situation is imaginary.

If he was a ghost, he would walk through the walls.

If I were a president, I would reduce taxes.

Other modal verbs can be used in the Second Conditional.

I could buy some new television if I had some money.

I might be able to save up for a car if I saved a little every week.

Present and future He would go if the weather was fine. If she knew about it, she would visit

them.

Past He would have gone if the weather
