Dear Parents and Carers, I would like to start by thanking you all for your kind wishes, cards and presents that you have given to me over the last few days. I will enjoy reading the messages and reflecting on the many happy times I have had at All Saints over the last 8 years. I would also like to thank (past and present): the parents for supporting me, their children and the school, to the Friends Committee who give freely of their time to ensure the children get the little extras which make school a fun place to be, to the governors for working tirelessly, despite being volunteers, to ensure that the school continually moves in the right direction, to the staff whose dedication, hard work and commitment shines through every day to ensure that the children at our school receive the best education they can in a nurturing environment, and to the children who absorb all the facts and information and work so hard to fulfil their potential—whatever that may be. I do truly believe that everybody who is associated with our school goes above and beyond every day, which makes leading this wonderful school a much easier task. Our school motto is ‘Beneath this sign may we flourish’, and for me this is encompassed every day at All Saints, the Year 6 Leavers Church Service and Assembly demonstrated this perfectly, the range of talents that shone through recognised the unique talents of each child. This was not the only way in which this amazing group of children showed their talents in their final week at All Saints—as they organised ‘Party in the Park’, to celebrate my time at the school, the afternoon was yet another memory that I will cherish as I move on. The stalls and games that they had organised, the bouncy castle, slide and ice cream van ensured not only I, but the staff and children will all have another memory to cherish from their time at All Saints. A surprise ‘Praise Assembly’ today whereby all the certificates that were handed out were given to me, will be another reminder of this special place. We also say goodbye to Mrs Collinson, Mrs Clarke, Mr Flynn and Mrs Gaylard. Mrs Gaylard has worked at All Saints since 2001, throughout that time her commitment and dedication to both the school and the children has been faultless. We will all miss her presence in the school, as she as she is a loving and caring teacher who the children and staff respect greatly. We wish her well in her retirement. Mrs Clarke took over the role of SENCo in 2009, those families who have worked with Mrs Clarke will agree that her knowledge, patience and reassurance has been paramount throughout her time in this role. We also wish her well in her retirement. Mrs Collinson leaves us to take up a post in another school, we hope she takes everything she has learnt at All Saints as she moves onto this next exciting chapter in her career. Finally, Mr Flynn who has brought such dedication and enthusiasm to our school, both through the children he has taught and the additional sporting opportunities he has provided for our children. He leaves All Saints with all our love for whatever the future may hold for him. Thank you for making the past 8 years, truly special and the end of my time at All Saints truly magical. All Saints will always hold a special place in my heart. With best wishes, P.Park Paula Park Head Teacher July 2017 Newsletter 11

Dear Parents and Carers,

I would like to start by thanking you all for your kind wishes, cards and presents that you have given to me

over the last few days. I will enjoy reading the messages and reflecting on the many happy times I have had

at All Saints over the last 8 years.

I would also like to thank (past and present): the parents for supporting me, their children and the school, to

the Friends Committee who give freely of their time to ensure the children get the little extras which make

school a fun place to be, to the governors for working tirelessly, despite being volunteers, to ensure that the

school continually moves in the right direction, to the staff whose dedication, hard work and commitment

shines through every day to ensure that the children at our school receive the best education they can in a

nurturing environment, and to the children who absorb all the facts and information and work so hard to fulfil

their potential—whatever that may be. I do truly believe that everybody who is associated with our school

goes above and beyond every day, which makes leading this wonderful school a much easier task.

Our school motto is ‘Beneath this sign may we flourish’, and for me this is encompassed every day at All

Saints, the Year 6 Leavers Church Service and Assembly demonstrated this perfectly, the range of talents

that shone through recognised the unique talents of each child. This was not the only way in which this

amazing group of children showed their talents in their final week at All Saints—as they organised ‘Party in

the Park’, to celebrate my time at the school, the afternoon was yet another memory that I will cherish as I

move on. The stalls and games that they had organised, the bouncy castle, slide and ice cream van

ensured not only I, but the staff and children will all have another memory to cherish from their time at All

Saints.

A surprise ‘Praise Assembly’ today whereby all the certificates that were handed out were given to me, will

be another reminder of this special place.

We also say goodbye to Mrs Collinson, Mrs Clarke, Mr Flynn and Mrs Gaylard. Mrs Gaylard has worked at

All Saints since 2001, throughout that time her commitment and dedication to both the school and the

children has been faultless. We will all miss her presence in the school, as she as she is a loving and caring

teacher who the children and staff respect greatly. We wish her well in her retirement. Mrs Clarke took over

the role of SENCo in 2009, those families who have worked with Mrs Clarke will agree that her knowledge,

patience and reassurance has been paramount throughout her time in this role. We also wish her well in her

retirement. Mrs Collinson leaves us to take up a post in another school, we hope she takes everything she

has learnt at All Saints as she moves onto this next exciting chapter in her career. Finally, Mr Flynn who has

brought such dedication and enthusiasm to our school, both through the children he has taught and the

additional sporting opportunities he has provided for our children. He leaves All Saints with all our love for

whatever the future may hold for him.

Thank you for making the past 8 years, truly special and the end of my time at All Saints truly magical. All

Saints will always hold a special place in my heart.

With best wishes,

P.Park

A word from Revd Annie

On August 27th (Montacute) will be an Outdoor service starting with crafts in the graveyard at

9.30pm followed by a walking service/rogation (dogs on leads welcome). All our family services are

relaxed and brief, and finish with refreshments.

Over August Bank Holiday, St Catherine’s will host both a Flower Festival (‘My Favourite Music’)

and a Saturday night Montacute version of Desert Island Discs. For details of all our services and

activities do check out the website www.hamhillchurches.org

A reminder that Prayer for Schools continues on First Mondays 9.15am at St Catherine’s for coffee

and prayers for all local schools – there is a children’s area if you’d like to bring pre-schoolers.

Meanwhile, hope you all have a brilliant Summer holiday.

As always, if you or your child would like to speak to me about any faith-related subject or if I can

help you plan a special service for your family, please get in touch.

Every Blessing,
