FOUR or FIVE Body Paragraphs

You have notes on quotations from each act of the play (see my blog for access to student-selected quotations from Acts III and V).

If you are going to organize your essay CHRONOLOGICALLY, you must include FIVE body paragraphs, with one quotation from each act.

If you are using any other format, you must include AT LEAST FOUR body paragraphs (with quotations from anywhere in the play).

OUTLINE FORMATI. Introduction (label which organization format you chose) –

a) Write out a rough idea that you might want to use based on one of these strategies:

make a connection to the readers appeal to them anticipate their needs orient them in the direction of the "journey”
