Class discussion

Class discussion is a useful way of evaluating your work. It is most successful if you:

are positive in your comments

give clear reasons for your comments

listen to other people’s comments

use body language and tone of voice to support your comments

keep your comments concise and to the point.

Try to be sensitive to other people’s

feelings.

People are more likely to respond to your comments if you phrase what you say carefully and respectfully.

Written evaluation

Focus on these points in your written evaluation work:

Make sure your evaluation has a clear structure. Use paragraphs to write about different aspects of your work. For example one paragraph might be about acting while another could be about how you developed the character.

Use drama vocabulary and make sure you spell key words correctly. ‘Theatre’, ‘rehearsal’, ‘scene’ and ‘actor’ are all frequently misspelled.

Support your comments with detailed description. If you say something was good, explain why it was good.
