ADMISSION NOTICE

For Admission in Class XI of School Of Excellence (For Session 2020-21)

Admissions are open for Class XI in Six Fully English Medium Schools of Excellence of Directorate of

Education for the Academic Session 2020-21. Students who have passed Class X in 2020 from SOEs or

any other Govt./Govt. Aided Schools of DoE/NDMC/Delhi Cantt. Board Schools are eligible to apply.

ACTIONS POINTS FOR HOSs

• Admission will first be given to own students of concerned School of Excellence as per

eligibility criteria. All HOSs of SOEs are directed to complete the Admission process of their

own eligible students by 18/09/2020.

• After completion of Admission process of own students, stream wise vacant seats will be

made available for students from other Govt./Govt. Aided Schools of DoE/NDMC/Delhi Cantt.

Board Schools as per Cabinet Decision No. 2867 dated 31.08.2020.

• All the HOSs of Govt./Govt. Aided Schools of DoE/NDMC/Delhi Cantt. Board Schools are

hereby directed to inform their students about the Registration for Admission in class XI of

SoEs which are fully English Medium Schools.

• The HoS of all Govt. /Govt. Aided Schools of DoE should ensure that any interested student of

their school desirous of getting Admission in SoE is assisted to register themselves for

Admission in Schools of Excellence.

Registration Process for students from Govt./Govt. Aided Schools of DoE

1. The MIS link for online registration for Admission in Class XI for Academic Session 2020-21 has

been provided to Govt./Govt. Aided Schools of DoE under the link: -

STUDENT MODULE _÷ Other Link __,. Registration for Admission to Class XI in SOE.

2. On this link the student will get himself/herself registered online through the Head of School

where the student is presently studying or from where the student has passed Class X in

Session 2019-2020. At the time of registration, the student will have the option of choosing

any three SOEs.

3. In case the student is selected, he/she will submit the Registration Form generated by MIS at

the concerned School of Excellence at the time of Admission.

Registration Process for students from NDMC and Delhi Cantt. Board Schools

1. The students of the schools of NDMC and Delhi Cantt. Board may fill the attached Registration

Form.

2. The Registration Form should be submitted to HOS of each SOE where the student is willing

for Admission as per the preference of SOE provided by the student in the Registration Form.

Eligibility Criteria for Registration of Students for Admission to Class XI in SoEs for Session 2020-21.

Students who have passed class X in Academic Session 2019-20 from Government/Government

Aided Schools of DoE/NDMC/Delhi Cantonment Board Schools situated in Delhi may get themselves

registered for Admission to Class-XI in School of Excellence as per the eligibility criteria.

The Admission in Class XI in SOEs will be purely on the basis of School-Wise merit of every stream

(Science, Commerce and Humanities) as per the aggregate marks of 5 main subjects excluding

additional subjects of Class X in the Academic Session 2019-20.

The eligibility criteria for registration in each stream are given below.

A. Eligibility Criteria for Science Stream

Minimum percentage of marks in Class X exams required for registration for Admission in SOE in

Class XI (Science Stream) is as follows:

Maths : 71%

Science 71%

English 61%

Social Science 51%

Hindi 51%

B. Eligibility Criteria for Commerce Stream

Minimum percentage of marks in Class X exams required for registration for Admission in SOE in

Class XI (Commerce Stream) is as follows:

Maths : 61%

Social Science : 61%

English : 51%

Natural Science : 51%

Hindi : 51%

C. Eligibility Criteria for Humanities Stream

Minimum percentage of marks in Class X exams required for registration for Admission in SOE in

Class XI (Humanities Stream) is as follows:

Maths : 51%

Social Science : 51%

English : 51%

Natural Science : 51%

Hindi : 51%

All students of SoEs who have passed class X in Academic session 2019-20 will be eligible for

Admission to Humanities Stream in Class XI in concerned SOEs.

NOTE:

In case of tie for the last vacant seat, (i.e. if the same marks are obtained in Class X by a number of

students for any of the three streams — (Science, Commerce and Humanities), then there will be a

draw of lots and the student selected in the draw will be offered the seat.

In case the 'last date' in the above Admission Schedule is declared as a public holiday, then the

next working date will be treated as the 'last date'.

GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS

1. The medium of instruction in SOEs is English.

2. Registration for admission does not entitle a candidate to secure his/her seat in SOE. The

admission in SoEs is purely on the basis of merit of the result of Class X.

3. Request for change of school from one SoE to another SoE shall not be entertained at any

stage.

4. The applicants are also advised to check their eligibility for registration before submitting the

Registration Form as per stream wise eligibility criteria.

5. Complete details in respect of Eligibility criteria/complete schedule in respect of Admission

process and Registration form are available at PUBLIC DOMAIN of the official website of

Directorate of Education i.e. www.edudel.nic.in.
