As the calendar year draws to a close and a new year begins I cele-brate my sixth month mark as pas-tor of Faith Lutheran congrega on. I want to thank you for the wel-coming recep on that I’ve re-ceived. I’m finding much joy in being a part of this worshipping community as we seek to live out gospel lives together. In those six months I’ve discovered a very vast array of ministry happening through the people of Faith. This is something to celebrate! The Church Council agrees, and has decided that we will not have the usual kind of Annual Mee ng this year. Instead we’ll be holding a Congrega onal Celebra on of Ministries and Annual Mee ng. The necessary annual mee ng business will be conducted, but it will be interspersed with stories that highlight the many and varied ministries that the congrega on

has been involved in during 2015. Congrega onal Leadership will al-so be sharing their vision for a new ministry structure that we plan to transi on to during 2016. Church Council believes that this new structure will empower decision making by those who are engaged in doing specific ministries. The Council will also be able to focus more on prayerfully discerning God’s direc on for our life togeth-er in this community, evalua ng ministries, and envisioning how we might best respond to God’s call. We also feel that this new struc-ture will help us to mobilize even more ministry happening through this vibrant community of faith. Healthy Ministry requires both be-ing and serving. So as this new year begins I challenge you to par-

cipate in at least 2 ac vi es be-yond Sunday Worship. One of

Beginning Wednesday, January 6, 2016 and con nuing through February 3, 2016, the Wednesday Night Bible Study will begin a five week (or longer) study of the Book of Revela on. VOLUNTEEERS NEEDED 12-Days of Christmas Dinner at Hope Center -

Tuesday, January 5 at 5:00 pm

Members of Faith will prepare and serve a meal at the Hope Center on Tuesday, January 5. Volunteers are needed to help prepare and serve the meal. Members are asked to help provide fresh fruit and cookies, which can be le at church Sunday, January 3 or before 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, Jan 5. Please leave a note that they are for the Hope Center.
