Gracie’s Cafe

“But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness;

and all these things shall be added unto you.” Matthew 6:33 (KJV) I have a large bird feeder named “Gracie’s Cafe” after my cat. I fill it up and we then watch as dozens of birds of various sizes and colors stop by for a bite or two. They are entertaining as they yell at or knock each other off the perch. It never fails, after watching for a few minutes this verse comes to mind as I consider how well our Father cares His creation. Look at the lilies of the field, the birds of the air. Jesus teaches us that not even Solomon in his all of his royal splendor compares to the beauty that we see in nature! The birds do not plant, grow or store food. Nor are they dependant upon my feeder! God provides for them! If our Father He feeds and clothes his creation, how much more will he care for our needs? Therefore do not worry about tomorrow… (Mt. 6:34). Dear Lord, instead of all of our striving and worrying, Help us to seek you first! Amen. © Sue Wesson RN 05/29/2018

A great start to May with the celebration of Cinco de Mayo. We enjoyed music, dancing and ended the day smashing a piñata. We ended the month of May by remembering those who sacrificed so much for our freedom. We also had some fun outside with our staff. A big THANK YOU to all staff, who participated in our “pie in the face” game. The participants really got a kick out of smashing pies in the many faces of the staff. Our staff members were such good sports, making the day a success by letting the participants have fun at their expense.
