Get a grown-up to help you make Bear’s favourite snack.

Honey cake recipe

Ingredients170g/6oz clear honey

140g/5oz butter85g/3oz light muscovado sugar

1 tablespoon of water2 eggs

200g/7oz of self raising flour

For the icing1 tbsp clear honey

55g/2oz icing sugar2-3 tablespoons of hot water

TimingsPreparation time: 15 mins

Cooking time: 45 minsServes: 8 people or 1 bear

1. Preheat oven to 180C/350F/Gas 3.

Butter a 18cm/7in cake tin.

2. Add the honey, butter, sugar and water

into a large pan. Heat gently until melted.

3. Remove from the heat and mix

in the eggs and flour.

4. Spoon into the tin and cook

for 40-45 minutes.

5. Allow to cool before turning out.

6. Make the icing by mixing the sugar,

honey and 2-3 teaspoons of hot water.

Drizzle over the cake.
