• CCE was founded in 1986 and has grown through mergers and acquisitions and is listed on the NYSE under "CCE".

• Roots date back to 1899 when the first Coca-Cola bottling operation was established.– 1886 – John Pemberton creates Coca-Cola syrup. – 1899 – Coca-Cola sold in bottles.– 1901 – First bottling franchise formed. Co-owner is James F.

Johnston, whose grandson, Summerfield K. Johnston, Jr. would later run CCE!

– 1899-1909 – 379 bottling plants opened.
