 Students planning on applying to four-year colleges should take a minimum of 16 courses at the college prep level or higher. Students planning on applying to selective colleges should take a fourth year of Math and a third year of Foreign Language to be competitive. The minimum 16 units must include the following areas:

◦ 4 - English◦ 3 - Math◦ 3 - Lab Science◦ 3 - Social Studies◦ 2 - Foreign Language (SAME LANGUAGE) ◦ 1- Elective

Please allow your teachers and counselors at least two weeks before deadlines to write a letter of recommendation.

The Military uses students’ ASVAB scores to identify the occupations that best suit their abilities. Junior, senior and postsecondary school students can use their ASVAB scores for enlistment for up to two years after taking the test.
