This covers many products but generally you choose between hard tails

and full suspension.

Hard tail bikes have rigid frames and a suspension front fork whereas

a full suspension bike incorporates rear suspension.

All-terrain bikes are versatile and can handle off road conditions from

rough rocky conditions to less challenging towpaths and bridleways.

Hard tails are more responsive with the front suspension forks helping

absorb the bumps with all the power pushed through the pedals

transferring into momentum. Full suspension bikes are designed to

handle more aggressive downhill conditions by adsorbing impacts whilst

maintaining traction but on the flat some of your power will be lost due to

the rear suspension. Not all all-terrain bikes are designed for serious off

road riding. You need to look at the component specification in detail

to ensure the function and quality are right for your requirements,

especially the gear set and shifters, brakes, saddle, grips and tyre tread

pattern. Riding position is important – the more upright the less impact

will be placed on your lower back plus your vision will be improved.

The women’s AT30 has a few very important differences to the men’s model. Firstly the new hydroformed frame has been specifically designed for the women’s body shape,

Depending on your cycle usage you will require different levels of additional cycle luggage. Saddle bags are a common and great addition, with just enough space to keep spare tube, tools, loose change and keys. The Avenir saddle bag is easily fitted to any saddle and is an easy fit saddle bag that comes complete with a trail tool kit. 7 BAGS

There are many levels of cycle security, from heavy duty shackle and chain locks, to lightweight flexible coil cables. When your out and about it is not always practical to carry a heavy duty shackle lock, in this scenario a coil cable lock can deter the opportunistic thief. The RSP coil combination lock is easy to use and lightweight enough to be carried around when your riding, the unique integrated LED light illuminates the combination in the dark.

The Xtreme is a fully in-moulded helmet, during the construction the micro shell is permanently fused to the protective expanded polystyrene liner. The benefits of in-mould technology are that it adds rigidity to the helmet and provides greater protection extending the life of your helmet.

Many people these days insure their bikes, independently or part of their contents insurance. The best and most hassle free method is not to have your bike stolen in the first place. Using the correct and most relevant lock can minimise the chance of theft.

When your bike is stored at home, it is advisable to use a heavy duty shackle lock like or chain and padlock like, to secure the bike to an immoveable object. The optimum solution would be to install a ground anchor that can be permanently fixed to the ground of your garage etc.The thief who targets bikes in this way is likely to be better equipped and have more time.

Prior to purchasing your new lights, you need to consider what you’re going to use the lights for, the range of lights available is vast and there are models tailored to all manner of activities. Standard LED’s like the Night Beam provide a great means of additional visibility for occasional riding in well lit areas.
